Enter the ‘Anti-Idling’ Student Lawn Sign Design Contest by March 16

The Newton Safe Routes to School Task Force (SRTS) is inviting Newton Public Schools students to participate in statewide a lawn sign design contest on “anti-idling.”  This year the Newton SRTS is undertaking a campaign to reduce car idling at schools for student health.  More information on why idling is so bad in school zones is here.

Details on the contest and the application form can be found on the 3 page flyer below.  All students in 2nd grade through 8th grade qualify.  Deadline is March 16, 2019. Please direct questions to Alicia Bowman at [email protected].
