Green Newton

Do you have old computers, iPhones, and tablets in your home that you would like to put to good use? The Electronics Drive for Women can give those items new life. You can drop off items at Newton City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton) on Sunday, April 28 from 8:30-9:30am and 3:30-4:30pm during NewtonSERVES. The collected electronics will be refurbished and donated to local women’s shelters in the Boston area or recycled through a sustainable facility.

Organized by a group of Newton South High School students, the purpose of the drive is to eliminate the toxicity of electronic waste, while simultaneously helping women of need get back on their feet. Please contact adriannegoodfriend@gmail.com with questions.
