Newton’s State Representative, Kay Khan, co-sponsored a bill to help protect pets and wildlife from certain types of toxic rodenticides. Known as SGARs, these rodenticides contain an anticoagulant agent that can be a threat to any animal that feeds on mice or rats, including owls, hawks, eagles and other birds of prey. The bill passed in the MA House of Representatives last week! We are grateful to the lead sponsor, Representative Jim Hawkins, for championing this legislation.
