The Massachusetts Sierra Club is sponsoring a virtual screening of Inundation District, the award winning film by David Abel and Ted Blanco. This feature-length film is about the implications of one city’s decision to ignore the threats posed by climate change and spend billions of dollars on building a new waterfront district — on landfill, at sea level. Following the film, David Abel will answer questions.

As part of Massachusetts Sierra Club’s commitment of solidarity with frontline organizations that are elevating the voices of impacted communities and empowering residents, all donations will benefit La Comunidad, Inc whose mission is to achieve the full participation and development of the Latino immigrant and adjacent populations in Everett and it’s surrounding communities. This is achieved by developing a combined strategy of community organization, political advocacy, systemic change, and efficient provision of quality services based on principles of social justice, community solidarity, and self-management. Additionally, donations collected through this event will be matched by the Chapter, up to $500.
