Volunteers Needed for the Hemlock Gorge Fall Cleanup on October 26

Saturday, October 26 (Meet between 9:30-10am). Hamilton Place in Newton.

Volunteers are needed for the Friends of Hemlock Gorge 44th Annual Fall Cleanup. Please come and help preserve this scenic landmark in Newton.

  • Volunteers will meet at Hamilton Place between 9:30 and 10 a.m. Visit www.hemlockgorge.org to find the location.
  • Parking is available at Hamilton Place on the Needham side, as well as the Mills Falls parking lot, and at the Hemlock Gorge parking lot at the intersection of Ellis St. and Rte. 9.
  • Clean-up materials (bags, gloves, sticks) will be supplied! Please dress appropriately for the cleanup work and weather conditions.
  • There will be a pizza lunch available for volunteers after the cleanup, starting at 11:45 a.m. Tables and chairs to be provided. When you arrive, let the organizers know if you would like to stay for the lunch.
