Helpsy is a company that takes your unwanted textiles–in good or worn condition as long as they are clean and dry. They offer curbside pick up as well as drop off at convenient collection bins around Newton. Funds raised through these donations go to help fund sustainability initiatives in the schools.
In addition to clothing and shoes, they accept more unusual items like stuffed animals and luggage. They also accept linens and accessories like bags, hats, belts, and jewelry. See the complete list.
The state of Massachusetts has banned the disposal of textiles in the trash, so remember to donate through Helpsy or another organization.
