Ride with Bike Newton to the Decordova Museum on August 26

On Sunday, August 26 from 10am-12pm, take a trip with Bike Newton to the Decordova Museum in Lincoln. Bring a picnic lunch or dine at their Café. Admission is free for anyone biking! We can stay for as long as the group would like to. And, an optional stop at Dairy Queen on the way home! Meet in front of the Star Market on 33 Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 10am. Group Bike Ride to Chinatown for Dim Sum
Start at: Star Market (33 Austin Street, Newtonville)
Take a ride along the Charles River and North Beacon St., Brighton and Comm. Ave’s to Chinatown for DimSum brunch. Have the option either to bike back to Newton or take your bike on the commuter rail from South Station. Trains leave at 12:40, 2:20, 4:20pm. Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 10am. Group Bike Ride to Fresh Pond
Start at: Star Market (33 Austin Street, Newtonville)
Starting in Newtonville, we’ll ride down Mt. Auburn St. through Watertown and Cambridge to Fresh Pond, work our way around the pond and head back with a little pass through Mt. Auburn Cemetery and along the Charles River back to Newton. Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St, in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 10 am. Group Ride Bike Ride to Newton Community Farm and Nahanton Park
Start at: Newton Main Library (330 Homer Street, Newton)
Take a loop from the Library via Parker St, Dedham St and Nahanton St to the Newton Community Farm (just a ride-by) and then through Nahanton Park and returning to the Library via Winchester and Walnut Sts. And we’ll take in a little of Crystal Lake as well. Meet in front of the Newton Main library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave promptly at 6pm. Group Bike Ride to Arsenal Mall/Charles River/Russo’s
Start at: Newton Main Library (330 Homer Street, Newton)
Take a trip to the Arsenal Mall area, along the Charles north and south side, and other city streets. It will show you how easy it is to get to the Arsenal and Watertown Malls, and to Russo’s market in Waltham, and what a nice bike ride it can be! Group can decide which store we want to go to, if any. Meet at the Newton Library on Homer St., and we’ll leave promptly at 10am. Group Bike Ride to Berklee Beantown Jazz Fest
Start at: Star Market (33 Austin Street, Newtonville)
Join us for a ride to Columbus Ave. in the South End for the annual Beantown Jazz Festival which runs from 12 noon to 6pm. A loop would take us more along the Charles River path one way, and more along streets of Boston, Allston, Brighton and Newton the other way. Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St, in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 2pm. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. Group Bike Ride to Honk Fest Parade – Somerville to Harvard Sq.
Start at: Star Market (33 Austin Street, Newtonville)
Take a ride to the start of the Honk Fest parade from Davis Square in Somerville to Harvard Square. You can bike in the parade and it’s always a very fun event! We’ll bike through Watertown and Cambridge and arrive in Davis Sq. in time for the start, then hang out in Harvard Sq. for a bit, and then head back to Newton via the Charles river path. Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St, in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 10 am.
