Can you recommend an outstanding local green businesses or product?
The Newton Needham Chamber’s Environment Committee is planning its Spring Business Breakfast May 4 at the Needham Sheraton and is looking for your nominations for the annual Green Business Awards.
To qualify, a business must be based in either Newton, Needham or a neighboring community and either 1) made significant progress in reducing energy, or other environmental strategies toward sustainability, or 2) supply green products or services.
In evaluating businesses, judges may consider the following factors: waste prevention, recycling, purchasing, energy and water conservation, involving stakeholders (such as employees, clients and/or suppliers), transportation and social capital.
Deadline for submissions to be reviewed by the Green Awards Committee is end of business Friday, March 3.
