Tuesday, November 28 from 7-8:15pm. Online.
Celebrate United Nations World Soil Day by learning about healthy soil as a carbon sink and climate change solution. In this webinar, soil scientist Ruben Parilla, Soil Technical Coordinator for NOFA/Mass, and climate-smart farmers Annemarie Walsh of Langwater Farm in North Easton and Chuck Currie of Freedom Food Farm in Raynham will also speak on how you can be a climate advocate through your food and farm choices as well as through collective action.
Co-sponsored by Mothers Out Front and by NOFA/Mass as part of their Climate Action Challenge. Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) is a leader in the state for promoting soil carbon sequestration and climate-smart farming practices. Their help was instrumental in passing and funding the MA Healthy Soil Action Plan – a comprehensive survey of the types of soils in the state and how each can be managed to sequester carbon and build soil health.
