Green Newton

Since so many of us have a surplus of reusable shopping bags, Green Newton and the City of Newton are planning an Earth Day project on Sunday, April 22 to redistribute these bags. At that time, Green Newton volunteers will offer to give spotlessly-clean surplus reusable bags to shoppers who are entering local supermarkets without any reusable bags. If you would like to reduce your collection of reusable shopping bags, you may bring them to City Hall prior to April 22 where there is a collection box near the entrance.
