Saturday, October 28 at 7pm. Online and in-person at Congregation Dorshei Tzedek (60 Highland St, West Newton).

Do you know someone who wants to stay in Newton but whose house isn’t working for them anymore? Many older adults in Newton face the choice between remaining in a home that no longer suits them and moving away from their community of friends and family.

While housing matters to the health and wellbeing of all people, aging can bring specific challenges: costs, accessibility, and access to services.

Newton residents, Lizbeth Heyer and Jennifer Molinsky, both experts in this field, will discuss these challenges and ways to meet them with a wider range of innovative housing options that fit the diverse preferences and needs of the city’s older residents. There will also be time for a Q & A.

Jennifer Molinsky is the director of the Housing and Aging Society Program at the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard, and Lizbeth Heyer is the president of 2Life Communities.

Hosted by Newton For Everyone.
