Zoning influences economic development, housing, transportation, and more. The city would like community member input on the city’s proposed updates to the zoning rules around village centers, in particular on three questions about the updates’ framework for increased density and reduced parking requirements.
Community input will be presented to Newton City council – specifically, to the Zoning and Planning Committee (also known as ZAP). If the ZAP committee wishes to move forward with some or all of the proposed changes, it will hold a public hearing and then vote.

The Feedback Tool has ten pages, which contain questions about who you are, helpful background info on the issues at stake with village center zoning, and the three main questions. There is no auto-save feature of the form, so make sure you’re ready to complete the tool in one go.
