Newton has committed to dramatically reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and resident actions an important part of the solution. On March 30, Mayor Fuller introduced Newton’s Energy Coach Liora Silkes, whose role in the City is to help residents adopt cleaner and more sustainable energy upgrades for their home and transportation. In addition, the new Energy Coach website provides residents with answers to many of the frequently asked questions about energy efficient home improvements, solar panels, electric cars, and more. Residents can also ask for assistance and an expert will give free individualized help.
- Check out the City’s sustainability website for information on the role of the City and the role of residents in taking climate action.
