Autumn is time for fall foliage in New England. On Saturday, October 26 from 1-2pm, learn why leaves change color and drop off in October, and how climate change is altering the season. It might be possible to see beautiful witch hazel flowers, the last plant to flower. The group will also discuss past land use, and current efforts to protect Webster Woods.
Tour leader is Richard Primack, Botany Professor at Boston University (Cell phone: 857-636-8378). Meet at the end of Warren Street in Newton Center. Please park in the address range of 40 to 56 Warren so as not to clog the end of this small dead end street.
