Sunday, September 8 from 3-5pm. Meet at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton).
Join Bike Newton for a special ride they are calling the “Tour de PictureUsNewton.“ Newton Community Pride (NCP) has produced a public art exhibit, #PictureUsNewton, consisting of a number of works of art done by local artists, which have been placed in 12 locations all around the city of Newton. NCP invites you to check out these artworks and the “selfie stations” where you can take photos (with bikes, of course!) Photos taken at the “selfie stations” can optionally be added to the NCP online community photo album filled with the faces of our diverse, welcoming, and biking city.
The bike ride will visit six of these art exhibits located in various parts of the city, finishing at the Trio courtyard in Newtonville in time to see a free live concert by the fabulous Triology band (led by Tal Shalom-Kobi of West Newton).
Meet at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton) for a 3pm group departure. All ages are invited for this family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. The route is 12 miles round trip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for any last-minute changes.
