Green Newton Board member, Ann Berwick, authored a most interesting article on wind energy (see link below) that appeared in the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine on March 27, 2016. It is about an energy bill that is expected to come up for debate soon in the state legislature. This bill may include a requirement that Massachusetts purchase 2,000 megawatts of offshore wind generating capacity over ten years. That’s enough to jump-start a new industry, and the jobs that go with it. Not to mention the climate benefits. READ HERE.
