The Greener Plate Challenge 2025–a 10-day free, fun email campaign for anyone who wants to learn how to eat more healthily and save the planet–is on from February 4-13!

The Challenge: Once you sign up, you will get a single email to your inbox with two “challenges” (videos, 2-16 minutes long, and/or a fact sheet) on the link between food and the environment. You’ll also get a Recipe of the Day. The time commitment (not including making the recipe) will be 10-20 minutes per day. Too busy? Then just choose one of the two options. Or catch up when you have more time (but within the 10 days). Participants should complete at least one of each day’s challenges.

The Goal: To motivate anyone who eats — wherever you fall on the carnivore —> vegetarian continuum, to cut back on animal protein. And to teach you how easy it is to do. Whether you love to cook, are grateful that restaurants exist, or both.

The Impact: If everyone cuts back a tiny bit on their animal protein, in whichever way works for you, the positive impact on the environment can be enormous. (How and why are covered in Day 1 of The Challenge, by the CEO of Conservation International).

Partners & Prizes: The Challenge is free. When you sign-up to participate in The Greener Plate Challenge, your name will be entered into a lottery, for a chance to win one of three prizes:
