The mission of the Studio for High Performance Design & Construction (SHPDC) is to improve the sustainable practices of the building industry through education and training, and by fostering a community of shared knowledge and learning. Come support the work of SHPDC (942 Chestnut Street, Newton) on Thursday, October 13 from 4-7pm (rain date: Friday, October 14), learn about the programs offered at their studio for professionals and homeowners. Dinner and refreshments will be served, and you can tour the new workshop space at the “Barn Studio” where SHPDC is now offering hands-on building courses. Ticket Price: $50 minimum donation to support the SHPDC’s work.
