Green Newton

Welcome Home accepts new and gently used and new household items and distributes them to families experiencing hardship. Items they don’t accept, along with cardboard and paper, are picked up each week and taken to Newton Resource Recovery Center for reuse and recycling.

Schedule a Drop Off Time

Drop off days:
Mondays: 1pm-2pm
Wednesdays: 2pm-3pm
Thursdays: 10:30-11:30am
Reservation required

Drop off is simple:

1. Arrive at Welcome Home (1191 Washington Street at Dunstan St., West Newton) on your reserved time and day.*
2. Pull up to the curb and we will take the items we can accept out of your car.

*In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel the item drop off by 9am. Donors will receive an email.
We will make every effort to reschedule ASAP.

Welcome Home is in urgent need of:

• dishes and bowls
• small appliances
• queen size sheets (fitted and flat, do not have to match)
