On Wednesday, October 13 at 6pm join a virtual meeting on the proposed accessibility upgrades at the Auburndale, West Newton, and Newtonville Commuter Rail stations.The project team will begin the meeting with a presentation, followed by time for questions and answers.

The Newton Commuter Rail Stations Accessibility Improvements Project will address the need to improve the MBTA’s reliability and modernize each station, including track and signal upgrades. This work includes two accessible, high-level side platforms and accessible pathways to each platform from the adjacent sidewalks and station parking areas. The project also includes modifying the Walnut Street Bridge at Newtonville Station to accommodate the proposed upgrades. The project is currently at 30% design.
