Stop by the display cases in the lobby of the Newton Free Library during the month of November to learn about the City of Newton’s Climate Action Plan to reach our goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. The City is working on many climate-related infrastructure projects, including the solar panels recently installed in the library parking lot. In addition, since about 60% of our City’s greenhouse gas emissions come from residential buildings and personal vehicles, making our homes energy efficient and powered by renewable energy is an important piece of our City’s climate action – and doing so often comes with the added bonuses of saving money and making your home more comfortable! Learn more by checking out the displays and the City of Newton Climate Action page.
