On Thursday, February 3 from 6-8pm, join Mothers Out Front Jamaica Plain and the Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library for an online showing of ‘The Sacrifice Zone,‘ a documentary about a Newark-area community’s fight for the right to breathe clean air and environmental justice, as a predominantly Black and Latinx community that has been used as an “industrial wasteland.” In addition to watching the film, this will also be an opportunity to hear about ways to support current greater Boston-based actions for environmental justice.
This event is hosted by Mothers Out Front Jamaica Plain and the Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library, with sponsorship from the Social Science and Environmental Health Research Institute at Northeastern University.
