Throngs of visitors turned out in the brisk weather for the 3rd Annual Newton Earth Day Festival on Sunday. 46 businesses and community groups lined the Newton North High School parking lot offering information on home insulation, solar, organic gardening, sustainable eating, and much more. Children got to pet baby animals, have their faces painted, plant seeds, take a picture in a miniature Tesla, and try out vegan ice cream. It was truly a great celebration of our precious planet!
