You’ve probably noticed your electric bills rising over the years. As we move to an electric energy system powered by renewable electricity, higher rates are a financial burden and a barrier to transitioning from fossil fuels to clean energy.

In Massachusetts, 3 percent of people spend over 6 percent of their income on home energy. Among low-income populations, that jumps to about 10 percent of people. The state is working to address the problem of high bills by reforming how our rates are structured. Join Sierra Club MA as they dissect the layers of our energy bills and ask,  “How can we make our bills fairer?”
