Think Reuse – Newton Swap Shop is Open and Offers Free Second-Hand Treasures

The Newton Swap Shop (Newton Resource Recovery Center, 115 Rumford Ave., Auburndale) is open for the 2025 season on April 24 and will operate Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30am-1:30pm (weather and staff availability permitting) through mid-October.

Come browse to find new and old interesting items (for free)–housewares, toys, sporting goods, clothing, smaller home furnishings, games & puzzles… all kinds of things. There is a 30 minute browsing limit.

Drop off your no-longer-used items. All items must be fully working, clean, and on our acceptable items list, and must be approved by our volunteers. Open to Newton residents only – proof of residency required upon request.

To volunteer, email recycling@newtonma.gov. Get more information on the City of Newton Reuse website.
