NetZeroMA.org Helps You Track MA Climate Bills and See Their Impact

The Environmental League of Massachusetts has relaunched NetZeroMA.org — a public accountability hub tracking the most consequential decisions shaping Massachusetts’ climate progress.

Massachusetts has some of the strongest climate laws in the nation, requiring the state to cut greenhouse gas emissions at least 50% by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2050. Reaching these targets not only serves our environment, but strengthens our economy and makes our communities healthier. But passing strong laws is only the beginning. Meeting our targets requires sustained investment, smart complimentary policies, and effective implementation from state leaders.

At the same time, climate action is becoming increasingly hard to track. It can be difficult to know where to turn for clear, reliable information about what these actions mean for our Commonwealth.

NetZeroMA.org keeps track of the state’s progress on clean energy deployment, building decarbonization, transportation modernization, environmental justice and public health, natural resource protection, and our green economy. State policy experts weigh in on the positive and negative impacts of key decisions to help you understand where Massachusetts stands and where we need to go to be on track to net-zero.
