Sunday, September 17 from 6:30am-11pm. Boston area to New York City.
This September, the United Nations will gather world leaders for a first-of-its-kind Climate Ambition Summit to demand that nations stop developing new oil, gas and coal projects and begin phasing out fossil fuels once and for all. Thousands will march in New York City to demand President Biden take bold action to End Fossil Fuels. To help activists get to the march, 350 Mass is organizing transportation that leaves from the Boston area to New York and back. The bus(es) are scheduled to depart from and return to Boston (Alewife and Park St), but other locations may be coordinated if there is sufficient interest. (Please mark your desired departure location on the registration form.)
Tentative Schedule:
Board departing bus: 6:30-7am
Arrive in Manhattan: 12pm
Attend march: 1-4 or 5pm
Board return bus: 6pm
Arrive in Boston: 11p
Tickets are $70 round trip, but discounted tickets can be provided if there is a financial need. Donations are also accepted to help defray costs.
Bring a full water bottle, snacks, signs, and appropriate clothing for the weather. Buses will make a stop coming and going so you can buy food and fill your water bottle. And you’ll have time before the march to pick up some lunch in NYC.
