Final School Connections Meeting is on May 9–New NPS Green Captains Will Lead Sustainability in Schools Next Year

Thursday, May 9 from 4:30-5:30pm. Online.

This will be the last meeting of the Green Newton Schools Connection, as next year the newly funded positions of Newton Public Schools (NPS) Green Captains will meet as an “educator network.” Our Green Newton School Connections members will still be invited to occasional meetings and also to help with school sustainability projects. We also can reach out to share ideas with the Green Captain leader Andrew Thompson or individual school Green Captains. (See agenda & meeting link.)

Due to these changes, the GNSC email address will no longer be active next school year. Instead, all questions and suggestions regarding school sustainability should be emailed to Andrew Thompson at thompsona@newton.k12.ma.us.

If you know an NPS staff member who may be interested in being their school’s Green Captain, please email Andrew. Next year’s stipend for this role is $944.
