Thursday March 14 from 12-1pm. Online.
ZeroCarbonMA will be holding a webinar with Mike Walsh of Groundworks Data to review the report “The Future of Gas in Massachusetts.” Mike will review the major findings of this groundbreaking report, which used data from utility companies to predict the future cost of gas in Massachusetts. Other studies have analyzed present costs of gas and electricity, but none to date have analyzed costs with a forward-looking lens.
In the press release for this report, author Mike Walsh noted, “The era of cheap utility gas is coming to a close and will have profound implications for all gas customers,” said Michael Walsh, Ph.D, report author and Founding Partner, Groundwork Data. “Most building owners will ultimately need to undergo a disruptive retrofit of regret to escape increasing costs and align with climate goals. This can be avoided by ensuring new buildings go beyond gas with the latest clean energy technologies”. You can view a copy of the report or learn more at www.ZeroCarbonMA.org.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
