Last month, after more than three years of dedication and collaboration among Newton’s Sustainability staff and city leaders, Newton Citizens Commission on Energy, environmental advocates, and local businesses, the Newton City Council voted unanimously to pass the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO).

This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the hard work and vision of everyone involved.
