Wednesday, June 26 at 10:30am. Church on the Hill (140 Bowdoin St., Boston).

Join us in support of a critical climate justice issue alongside our Green Justice Coalition allies to fight for Project Labor Agreements in Massachusetts that ensure family-sustaining careers for people of color and women in the green economy.

We will meet at Church on the Hill at 10:30am and walk to the steps of the State House for the rally at 11:30am.

Why the rally? To support the future of environmental justice communities and build infrastructure for pollution reduction, climate resilience, and more. Governor Healey can issue an Executive Order ensuring the next wave of critical infrastructure in Massachusetts is built with experienced workers, contractually guaranteed pay equity for women and people of color, and fair labor standards. This can also promote equity in state contracting for M/WBEs and expand access to strong construction careers for low-income residents, women, and people of color. Additionally, the Massachusetts legislature can pass H. 3012/S. 2027, An Act authorizing project labor agreements, which would further empower public agencies to utilize PLAs to better serve the public interest on new infrastructure projects.

This campaign, Environmental Justice Project Labor Agreement Now for Massachusetts (EJ PLAN for MA), is led by Community Labor United via the Green Justice Coalition, of which BCAN is a member. You can read more  HERE.
