Despite pouring rain, a steady stream of families headed to the Earth Day Festival at City Hall to indulge in sustainable food, get face painted, cuddle some baby animals, and learn about the environmental actions we can take. The War Memorial Auditorium was filled with residents engaging with the 27 community groups and sustainable companies, while outside, Electric Vehicle (EV) owners stood by their vehicles explaining life with an electric car. With sign ups filled to capacity, the EV test drives operated through the duration of the festival led by representatives from Lucid, BMW, and Mercedes who provided the vehicles.
