On Wednesday, January 25, over 20 Mothers Out Front Newton members joined 150 MOF members, including children, from across Massachusetts at the Statehouse. They met with Governor Healey, Climate Chief Melissa Hoffer, and Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Rebecca Tepper as well as Senator Cynthia Creem, and Dmitriy Gridnev, Staff Director for Representative Ruth Balser. The first advocacy group to meet with the new governor, they gave her a letter with over 3000 signatures describing policy priorities united by the theme, “Hands Together for Climate Justice.” The letter asked Healey to lead a rapid and just transition away from fossil fuels to safe, affordable, clean, renewable energy. It was a huge success!!
