Whether you prefer your latte iced or hot, remember that empty clear plastic cups can be recycled but paper cups cannot. Most paper cups are lined with a thin coating of plastic on the inside that makes the cup difficult to separate and recycle. Make sure straws and lids go in the trash too, or just say ‘no’ to using them. And next time, be sure to bring a refillable mug if your coffee shop accepts them.
