Managed by Green Newton, the initiative began with a grant from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center in 2020.
Heating, cooling, and hot water from residential buildings account for nearly 38% of Newton’s greenhouse gas emissions. By promoting the adoption of efficient heat pump technology, HeatSmart Newton is working to help our community reduce its greenhouse gas emissions as we move toward our Climate Action Plan goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
HeatSmart Newton works closely with Green Newton’s vetted, partner installer, Heritage Home Service. The HeatSmart Newton team, along with our partner installer, can also help you maximize your savings by offering a group discount to Green Newton customers, and helping connect you with the latest rebates, tax credits, and financing.
