Bring your family and friends to Newton’s 3rd Annual Earth Day Festival for all things green! Enjoy live music and great food while learning about all the ways you can make a difference. There will be local businesses and nonprofits on site to help guide you, whether you’re looking to go solar, pick out an electric vehicle, insulate your home, start composting, and much more! And there’s plenty of fun for the kids, including a petting zoo, face painting, nature themed activities, and an Earth Day celebration with Little Beats.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE DISPLAY Are you considering an Electric Vehicle? Check out the EV Display at the festival, where many of our Newton neighbors will be available to tell you more about their experience. This is the perfect time to ask an EV owner about charging stations, EV ranges, pricing and other questions. |
GREEN TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE Are you looking to lead a greener lifestyle? Or to make your home more energy efficient? We have a terrific line-up of exhibitors ready to answer all your questions on waste reduction & composting, electric vehicles, solar power, insulation, heat pumps, gardening, and more! |
FOR KIDS Our Earth Day Festival is jam packed with fun activities for kiddos of all ages - face painting, a petting zoo, music from Little Beats, a planting activity, and much more! |
FAMILY BIKE RIDE Join Bike Newton for a special Earth Day bike ride to Auburndale Cove and back. Riders will depart from the Bike Newton booth at 1pm and go along the Charles River bike path through Waltham, through the Auburndale Cove, and return on Commonwealth Ave. to the Earth Day celebration (~10 miles). This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. |
ENTERTAINMENT Enjoy live music from local bands like the Dark Crushes and Dave Herlihy while enjoying some delicious food. Get ready to hear some great tunes to inspire us all on Earth Day! |
