Bring your friends and family to Newton’s own Earth Day Festival for live music, petting zoo, face painting, green technology showcase, an EV expo with test drives, nature themed activities, and more.

Are you considering an Electric Vehicle? Check out the EV Display at the festival, where many of our Newton neighbors will be available to tell you more about their experience. This is the perfect time to ask an EV owner about charging stations, EV ranges, pricing and other questions. There will even be test drives available for select cars! More interested in bikes? We'll have E-bikes on display so you can see first-hand how they can help get you around town! Plus, join Bike Newton for a special Earth Day bike ride.
ENTERTAINMENT
Enjoy live music from local bands. Get ready to hear some great tunes to inspire us all on Earth Day!

Delicious (and sustainable!) food

Enjoy tasty, plant-based eats from the Plantiful Food Trailer, and delicious plant-based ice cream from FoMu Ice Cream, complete with compostable serveware

 

Electric vehicles to view and test drive

Always wanted to try out an electric car? We’ll have the following vehicles (subject to change) available to test drive around the block, starting on City Hall Dr. To register for a 15-minute time slot and for more information, click here.

Map and Directions

Walk, bike, bus, or drive to the event! The Earth Day Festival will take place at the War Memorial on Memorial Drive. EV test drives will take place on the other side of City Hall on City Hall Drive. There is a Blue Bikes station at the Newton Free Library, and bus stop on the corner of Walnut St. and Homer St. Parking is available at City Hall and Newton Free Library, in addition to street parking.

Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, the festival will be held both outdoors and indoors in the War Memorial Auditorium. The event is sponsored & organized by Green Newton, the City of Newton’s Climate Team, and the EV Task Force.
