‘Heating and Cooling Older Homes for Comfort and Energy Efficiency’

The February 4 webinar ‘Heating and Cooling Older Homes for Comfort and Energy Efficiency’ presented information helpful for those that have an older home that needs heating and cooling upgrades, struggles during cold weather, or one that is in need of adding central air conditioning.  We discuss ways that you can upgrade your heating and cooling system for better comfort all year round using efficient electric heat pump technology, while reducing your use of fossil fuels.  You will learn how this technology works and how we can retrofit it into different types of homes.  In addition to learning about the City of Newton’s HeatSmart program, a builder/renovator shares information about adding insulation to your home with an understanding of the embodied carbon impact of various insulation choices.
