Celebrate Sustainability at Newton’s Earth Day Festival 2026
Mark your calendars—Newton’s Earth Day Festival is back, and it’s bringing the community together for an afternoon of sustainability, sharing, and conscious living.
Join neighbors, families, and local organizations on Sunday, May 3 from 12–3:30pm at Zervas Elementary School for a vibrant celebration of Earth Day. Among the many activities, one highlight you won’t want to miss is the “Conscious Closet & Replay Corner”—a creative, community-driven initiative focused on reuse and accessibility.
Give Back: Donate to the Reuse Drive
In the spirit of reducing waste and supporting one another, the festival is hosting a Reuse Drive. Community members are encouraged to donate clean, gently used items that can find a second life in another home.
Accepted items include:
- Clothing
- Toys
- Games & puzzles
- Sports equipment (no skis)
- Small household items
In partnership with Welcome Home, the drive is also collecting new or like-new blankets and towels (no rips or stains), helping ensure families in need receive high-quality essentials.
Drop-off options:
- Before the event: Fulfilled Goods (1280 Centre St., Suite 6, Newton Centre)
- Day of the festival: May 3 12-3:30pm at Zervas Elementary School (30 Beethoven Ave., Waban)

After donating, stick around to browse! The Conscious Closet & Replay Corner transforms donated goods into a pop-up thrift experience—right at the festival.
Best of all, everything is Pay-What-You-Want, making it accessible to everyone while promoting a more sustainable way to shop.
Whether you’re hunting for kids’ games, clothing, or home items, you’ll find treasures that are budget-friendly and environmentally responsible.
A Community Effort with Lasting Impact
Leftover items will be donated to support families experiencing hardship—ensuring that nothing goes to waste and everything goes toward helping others live with dignity.
