Video of Presentation on ‘Networked Geothermal’ Available for Viewing

Could existing gas pipelines be adapted to carry environmentally safe geothermal heat to networks of homes and other buildings?

At the September 28 meeting of the Newton Citizens Commission on Energy (NCCE), co-founder and executive director of HEET, Audrey Schulman, gave a presentation on an innovative heating technology called “networked geothermal.” Together with co-founder Zeyneb Magavi, Schulman developed HEET’s innovative solution to transition gas utilities from gas to GeoMicroDistricts, or systems of networked ground source heat pumps. There are several gas utilities now installing thermal networks in Massachusetts and New York.
