What do ice cream and solar energy have in common? They’re both better when shared!
Join us for a scoop of ice cream and a conversation about solar power, energy efficiency, and practical ways to reduce your energy costs and environmental impact.
Hear from the City’s Climate Action Coordinator about municipal solar initiatives and how renewable energy is key to achieving the goals of the City’s Climate Action Plan. You’ll also learn from Green Newton’s Energy Advocate about the importance of insulation and available Mass Save programs that can help improve your home’s comfort and efficiency.
Local solar experts will provide a Solar 101 overview, share real-world case studies, and explain community solar options for renters and residents who may not be able to install panels on their own homes. We’ll also share information about local resources and support available to help residents take the next step.
This program is in partnership between the City of Newton Sustainability Team, Green Newton, and the Newton Free Library.
We encourage you to register here. That way we’ll have enough ice cream—and you’ll get a reminder. Walk-ins are also welcome.
