The Newton Tree conservancy (NTC) is giving away saplings from their nursery located in Nahanton Park’s Community Gardens (pictured in the map below). The saplings are small trees that will easily fit into a car trunk. There will be many species from which to select.

Because the type of pot used to plant and grow the saplings this year provides for drainage and root growth, it is suggested that you bring a small plastic bag or 5 inch planting pot to carry home the saplings you select.
