Attend an Earth Month event exploring geothermal solutions for affordable heating and cooling. Learn about the benefits of ground-source heat pumps and geothermal networks, and how to apply these solutions in our community and beyond.
Forum topics include:
- geothermal technologies and how they work;
- low, predictable operating costs;
- financing structures, ownership models, incentives; and
- resilient, healthy, low-carbon systems.
This public event will explore the basics of geothermal and networked geothermal technologies, where they make sense, and strategies for implementation. Discussions will include real-world case studies from commercial, institutional, and mixed-use settings and will highlight low, predictable operating costs; financing and ownership models; and incentives. Panelists will reflect on the potential for geothermal technology in Wellesley and beyond, and participants are invited to tour the Wellesley Village Church’s new geothermal system. Hosted by the Climate Action Committee and the Wellesley Village Church.
