The recently released Massachusetts 100-Home Embodied Carbon Study is an analysis of the actual carbon impact, both embodied and operational, from a range of recent residential new construction. Join the Massachusetts Climate Action Network as Chris Magwood and Mélanie Trottier discuss the study’s results and advocacy implications, including a proposal to integrate embodied-carbon into energy assessments currently conducted by HERS® Raters. The study was produced through a collaboration between the Northeast Home Energy Rating System Alliance, Stephens & Company, Ekotrope, Builders for Climate Action, and NMR Group.
