Tip of the Week: Got Milk? Cartons are Not Recyclable

Unfortunately, milk and beverage cartons are not recyclable. They are lined with a thin layer of plastic which is difficult to separate from the paper layer. Please place cartons in the trash. A zero waste alternative is glass milk bottles that can be rinsed and returned for a deposit. You can subscribe to a home delivery service like Thatcher Farm in Milton or Crescent Ridge Dairy in Sharon, or stores like Whole Foods have them for purchase.
