Please help with the distribution of Newton Power Choice door hangers within our neighborhoods. This is an excellent community service project for students and adults during the school vacation or at another convenient time in April or May. The door hangers provide information about Opting Up to 100% Renewable Electricity in Newton Power Choice.
All are welcome to attend a meeting to receive instructions and materials on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:30pm at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton) in the Druker Auditorium. For more information contact marcia@greennewton.org.
Alternatively, you can participate in the project as a part of NewtonSERVES, a day of community service, on Sunday, April 28, when volunteers will meet on the steps of the War Memorial Auditorium entrance to City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton). There, they will each receive a neighborhood map with Newton Power Choice door hangers to distribute. Please register through NewtonSERVES HERE.
Also on April 28, Students for a Greener World will collect used sneakers at City Hall to be recycled or donated to individuals in need. Clean out your closets and do good at the same time!
