During the month of April, Green Newton is leading efforts to inform residents about Opting Up to 100% Renewable Electricity in Newton Power Choice. Around 50 volunteers will be enlisted to help with the distribution of Newton Power Choice door hangers within our neighborhoods.

All are welcome to attend a meeting to receive instructions and materials for this project on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:30pm at the Newton Free Library in the Druker Auditorium. For more information contact marcia@greennewton.org.

This is an excellent community service project for students and adults during the school vacation or at another convenient time.

Another option is to register for NewtonSERVES, a day of community service, on Sunday, April 28, when volunteers will meet on the steps of the War Memorial Auditorium entrance to City Hall. There, they will each receive a neighborhood map with Newton Power Choice door hangers to distribute.
