The Village Bank and the City of Newton have awarded several microgrants to support local projects designed to help address climate change. Grants of $250 to $1,000 are still available, the program encourages any individual or organization with a good proposal to apply.
A project proposal:
- must illustrate how the proposed project will achieve a demonstrable greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction;
- must be accompanied by an attestation/recommendation from a third party, indicating that the proposer has the capability to implement the project; and
- need not come only from established organizations.
