The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) has played an important role in the growth of the clean energy industry in the Commonwealth since 2008. Through its mission “to put public renewable energy trust funds to work to build a clean energy economy,” the agency has helped make Massachusetts a leader in clean technology innovation, job creation, and investment.

Spending at MassCEC has decreased significantly in the past year, and funding is being threatened again in 2020. Please contact Governor Baker’s office (617-725-4005) and your state legislators, and tell them to add a systems benefit charge to natural gas to double MassCEC’s budget.

The article below from Commonwealth Magazine profiles the work of MassCEC in the Massachusetts clean energy economy.
