Wednesday, February 7 from 7–8:30pm. New England Botanical Garden at Tower Hill (11 French Drive, Boylston) and Online.

Meadow-style plantings are becoming increasingly popular, particularly as an alternative to the lawns that cover tens of millions of acres in the U.S. Our turf monocultures have many detrimental environmental impacts, including that they offer very little habitat value to insect pollinators and other at-risk wildlife. Landscape designer and author Owen Wormser will detail a range of different design, site preparation and maintenance approaches, and discuss how to choose the right ones based on your resources and landscape conditions.

Owen Wormser is the principal at Abound Design, which provides design and installation services with a focus on creating sustainability, regeneration, and beauty. A newly revised second edition of his book, Lawns Into Meadows, Growing a Regenerative Landscape* was released in the fall of 2022.
